Drawing in the Cold
Sometimes I challenge myself to draw a comic as quickly as I can. Today’s challenge was driven by cold and wanting to be outside and away from zoom. (The dots are from the paper in my notebook.)
I drew this at Bad Weather Brewery. If you’re in the Twin Cities, you probably already know how excellent BW is. I drew this accompanied by their Fog of War Hazy IPA (pictured below). They have a spacious patio and a fire pit and patio heaters, which will be crucial for getting us all through a pandemic winter.
In other comics news, I published another piece in Contingent titled “The Desert Keeps Receipts”. It’s a comic about a tour of the Nevada Test Site I took a year ago, back when we all sat on buses close to each other. It’s gotten a lot of attention, and has sparked ideas for a longer project for growing up in the atomic/mining West.
