Little Brain Comics is on the Move!
Good afternoon, subscribers, readers and friends! It is a sunny but VERY windy spring day in Denver.
I’m sending you this post to let you know a few things:
This is the last email you are going to get from the Little Brain Substack newsletter! Don’t be sad — this is a good thing, because
The new Little Brain Comics site I mentioned in the last issue is finally LIVE! I’ve collected almost all the comics I’ve posted around the Internet over the last six years — stuff that appeared on Tumblr! Medium! Substack! Instagram! Twitter! and more — and now they are all in one place where I can keep an eye on them.
If you’re a current Substack subscriber, your subscription has been automatically been transferred to the new site. You’ll get a new issue of the newsletter sometime this week (I’ve got a really awesome new comic lined up to kick off the new site) — keep an eye out for it! If you don’t get it — contact me at littlebraincomics AT gmail dot com
I am so, so grateful for all of your support over the last two years of this newsletter! I’ve gotten great feedback on my work from all of you and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my comics.
SUPPORT MY WORK
Like Substack, new comics and archives at the Little Brain Comics site will be free to read. But I’ll be honest — drawing comics is a lot of work. Each new post requires a lot of thinking and sketching and erasing and inking and coloring and more. So the new site comes with a few options for you to support my work and keep the site free to readers:
Share! Please share comics you enjoy to social media, send them to your friends, and more
Become a supporter! Basic subscriptions are free, but I’ve introduced an $8 per month supporter tier. Supporters get behind-the-scenes posts, fun things in the mail a few times a year, and a warm sense of self satisfaction.
Leave me a tip! Leaving me a tip helps me afford health insurance, beverages, and cat treats for Minnow.
Buy stuff from my Etsy store! If you haven’t visited it in a while, I have new stickers and prints, and you can buy 1-800-HOT-DOG shirts for your entire family or team.
FOLKS, IT IS SO WEIRD TO TALK ABOUT MONEY — years of working in academia and museums and non profits makes it hard to even mention the financial parts of making comics. I do it because I love it, but still, everything’s getting more expensive these days.
Again — thank you so much for subscribing! Be on the lookout for a new comic in your inbox in the next few days.
